We are surgeons specialized in treating diseases of the liver, pancreas and biliary system. We operate at Health Sciences North Hospital in Sudbury, Ontario which serves the catchment area of Northeastern Ontario. We are affiliated with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and are involved in training medical students and residents.

Dr. Jeffrey Shum is from London, ON. He completed his MD at Queen's University in Kingston before returning to London and completing a General Surgery and Critical Care Fellowship at Western University. He then completed a Multi-Organ Transplant Fellowship in 2012.
Dr. Kengo Asai MD, PhD, FRCSC
Dr. Kengo Asai is from Saskatoon, SK. He completed his MD/PhD followed by General Surgery at the University of Toronto. He then completed a Fellowship in HPB Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN.
